Over at GH, Christmas comes early — along with every holiday! — and that’s something Brytni Sarpy (Valerie), Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon) and Hayley Erin (Kiki) appreciate. “We shoot a month ahead, so I get into the holiday spirit way too early,” Erin laughs. “Christmas has already come and gone in Port Charles. So everything is kind of old news by the time it really comes around, but it’s fun.”

“We get to warm into the season,” Sarpy explains. “Not that the stores haven’t already gotten there! But it’s nice to share the sentiments ahead of time and say Merry Christmas.

“And those moments on GH, when we’re not having crazy good dramatic scenes,” she adds, “usually highlight the good part of the holidays and family. That’s pretty cool.”

As the holidays near in the real world, decorations go up behind the scenes, gifts go out to hair stylists and makeup artists, wardrobe and other key GH players, and the show’s annual party goes down. This crew might also do a bit of celebrating on their own. “We didn’t do anything formal last year,” Sarpy considers. “You know what… now I’ll make sure we do!”

“it would be cute if we did a little Secret Santa,” adds Erin. “I should organize that.”

That will get a lot tougher to do once GH’s soundstages go dark on December 19 and everyone disperses for three weeks. “It’s always interesting to see who’s in town and when they’re in town, because people are traveling.” Watkins says. “Brytni will be with her dad [who lives a few hours east of Los Angeles], Hayley will be with her boyfriend and family in L.A., and I’ll be on the East Coast with my family, so we’ll see.”

“We’re homies,” Erin interjects. “So we’ll probably do something together!”
